Rockefeller Center (11 images)

Completed in 1939 at the cost of $250 million, it was the largest private building project ever undertaken in modern times. Designed in an Art Deco styel, it sits between 48th & 51st Streets, and 5th & 6th Avenues.

However, it is most famous for its golden Prometheus Statue, the winter ice skating rink and of course the giant Christmas Tree every year.
